After meeting a beautiful woman named Mary (Lauren Holly) at a hotel, Lloyd becomes smitten and decides to embark on a journey to Aspen, Colorado, to return a briefcase that he believes contains a ransom. Harry, being the loyal friend that he is, insists on joining Lloyd on the trip.

Daniels, on the other hand, plays the more straight-laced Harry, who is often the voice of reason (or at least, tries to be). His dry wit and exasperated expressions provide a perfect foil to Carrey's antics, and the two actors develop a comedic rapport that is both authentic and hilarious.
