While walking to the pool, my 8-year-old son tripped on a loose paving stone and face-planted into a nearby bush. Thankfully, he was okay, just a bit shaken (and dirty). My partner and I rushed him to the nearby first-aid station, where the kind staff helped clean him up and gave us some much-needed ice packs.

If you're thinking of visiting Step, don't let my "oops" moments deter you. The resort is beautiful, the staff is friendly, and the activities are top-notch. Just be prepared for a few unexpected surprises along the way!

Despite all the chaos, we managed to have some amazing experiences at Step. The kids loved the water park, and my partner and I even managed to squeeze in a romantic dinner at the resort's fine dining restaurant (no kids in sight!). We also discovered a fantastic beachside bar, where we enjoyed some much-needed cocktails and live music.
