Sega has been on a mission to preserve its blue blur’s legacy, and Sonic Origins was the flagship vessel. However, the launch of Sonic Origins on the Nintendo Switch was met with a mixed reception due to bugs, audio desyncs, and a lack of modern QoL (Quality of Life) features.

While the Xbox and PC versions run at 120fps, the Switch version now offers a stable 60fps in docked and handheld modes (a massive improvement over the original 1.0 release which had frame-pacing issues).
